ugh, where to begin... Last year I was diagnosed with panic attack disorder which was causing me to have panic attacks that mimic'd heart attacks, where I was seen several times in the emergency room, my heart rate would be high and so on, but everything else looked fine, EKG blood work etc, ocassionally my D-dymer blood test was elevated which the dr's said thats a non specific test which means they do a routine chest ct scan to rule out pulmonary embolism.. ok whatever, Decemeber I had a hysteroscopy D&C to remove a polyp in my uterus which they give you general anesthesia, now since January I have been having daily ongoing vertigo with ocassional blood pressure spikes, no appetite, a all over feeling of not feeling well, like my health deteriorating, I've had CT scans, Head MRI, X-ray's, Blood tests, abdominal sonogram, 48/24 hr urine test, echo-cardiogram (heart), EMG, I had a EGD (yesterday) and I have a EEG (Monday). So Im still basically in a diagnostic period.

about 2 weeks ago along with all my other symptoms, I started having a lump feeling in my esophogus and in my throat, like I swallowed something big and it wont go down. this is a all day feeling that wont go away. Which is what prompted my GP to do a abominal sonogram and EGD. He took several biopsys because I guess he suspects something like GERD or w/e, I also have gallstones, but he said he thinks theres something more going on then just gallstones, but I have to wait 2 weeks for the results (lame).

Today I went to the ER because my dizziness (vertigo) is worse and I feel like my body is weighted down with a ton of bricks, like gravity is pulling me to the ground harder then normal, my whole body is weak. And I still have that feeling in my throat like someone karate chopped my throat in that one spot. The ER did blood work and everything was fine, except I was very dehydrated, so they gave me IV fluids then sent me on my way. Im still feeling really bad.

Could this all be related to GERD? Vertigo/BP fluctuations/No appetite/General feeling of being ill (deteiorating health).

I have been searching for realated issues which could hopfully give me some answers. Please help.. BTW Im female 32 yrs old

Well I have a very similar story to yours and mine turned out to be GERD. Started with the lump in the throat, followed by what felt like heart attacks! The ER even diagnosed me with a mini stroke once (not true though)! They kept telling me I was having a panic attack! If you had ever met me you would know that is completely unlikely! I am a very laid back person. yeah   I lost a stone in weight and then began to get asthma and finally got so dizzy I could hardly stand up. I couldn't walk more than 20 feet without getting out of breath. I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. I then began to get heartburn in my chest and that is when I suggested GERD to my GP. Tried the PPIs and they work to an extent but I am allergic! I have just had the Nissen Fundoplication (10 days ago) and am hoping it will work. My surgeon said that the lump in the throat may not go away but if it can stop all the other symptoms I will be pleased.

I have probably missed out loads of things so if you want to ask me any questions fire away! :-)
