Am I in the right spot?

Either way, last Sat I woke up in extreme pain, it lasted about 3 hours long. I thought I was going to die. Burning and aching and just horrible!!!!

So, Sunday went normal.

Monday woke up again with the same pains, but worse! I went into the ER and I was told I had "Gastritis" and they gave me medications for nausea and Zantac to help with my acids.

I am too scared to eat anything... I keep hearing conflicting things about milk and other things as well. So, I am have mainly been sticking to breads, cereals, water, I did eat some portabella mushrooms and a boca burger ( veg ).... Those didnt seem to bother me. Everything else HURTS me though.

Help?

You need to see a specialist called a gastroenterologist.  They will run some testws including an upper GI to determine the problem. Avoid fatty spicey foods for now and eating before bed.

That's pretty extreme.

If you're able, though, it's definitely something you should get checked out though. I was diagnosed with Gastritis due to bad acid reflux. If reflux is at the core of your problem, you need to get it under control. Even if you don't feel symptoms regularly it can still eat away at your esophagus and lead to some pretty bad stuff down the road.

I'm not sure what other things might cause gastritis, if anything, but certainly something you should try to have checked out.
