So when I was little I had serious stomach issues. I was throwing up daily and that is when I found out I had candidia(not sure about spelling) so my parents put me on this really strict diet and it seemed to help.
In my younger teen years I had problems with getting sick in the morning and throwing up so I went through the whole upper GI and antacids and for a while it seemed to help. I have had problems with food and drinks upsetting my stomach so I have learned to stay away from them.
Well for the last couple of years I get nauseous all the time. I will wake up that way and be that way all day. I have learned that saltines and sprite are my best friends and the only thing I can eat or drink when I feel this way (which is a lot). I can't take any vitamins that just makes things ten times worse. I have also found that drinking water makes it worse and if I drink water before bed I will wake up very ill. Sometimes I can eat anything and I will feel just fine other times I can't eat anything without getting sick. I never know from hour to hour or day to day what my stomach will do. My husband doesn't believe me when I say that water will make me sick because everyone I talk to when they don't feel good or have heartburn water helps but not for me. I have also noticed that I get the most nauseous before and after a bowel movement but not ALL the time. I also have anxiety and that just makes things worse. Every little thing will set that off and I get really sick. I absolutely refuse to throw up so I never throw up but I really feel like it sometimes. It has stopped me from doing things and missed work and I am getting sick of it(ha ha). I just want to be a normal person with a normal stomach. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have read some things that are posted on here and I will be trying some but not all the symptoms are the same. Thanks for anything you can give me. confused

I have been feeling this exact same way. I do have had stomach issues my whole life..in fact when I was born I had chollic..however as I have grown up I think it was not that and more of an acid problem. I also have anxiety. Recently I am feeling nauseous at random times especially around the time I have to have a bowel movement. I'm not sure what is wrong but if anyone has any advice I would love to hear it. I have been trying to get pregnant but am not so I know that is not the cause.

Do you think it's H. Pyloris? Have you been tested?

I feel nausea EVERY morning....I dry heave but will not throw up. I too have anxiety and recently went on medication.
I was diagnosed with hiatal hernia and acid reflux. I think i tried every medicine for my stomach...protonix, nexium, aciphex, etc..still feel the same. I have no appitite some days and just eat to eat. Its horrible...My doctor wants me to try Aciphex in the morning and Nexium at night. Also a pepcid before i eat. Im constantly burping and it sounds like a war is going on in my stomach! I think im going to try a new gastro this week.

Sunshine,
If I bend over after eating to pick up anything I get reflux up my throat and gag. smhair

My GI wants me to have surgery. He does the Nissen method (wrapping your stomach around your esophagus like a hot dog bun). Many of the other people who post here have gone through it and can answer your questions about it.

:-)   However, I've discovered a newer and less invasive method called EsophyX procedure. They go down your throat with a special scope with something similar to a stapler, pull down a small piece of your stomach and staple it around to the bottom of your esophagus. There are not many people who have had it because it's only been approved in the USA for 3 years now. Fortunately, my new GI doctor is a leader in the field and has done the surgery 130 times and teaches others how to do it. turn I'm planning on doing it around Thanksgiving. It will keep me from overeating turkey this year. smilewinkgrin

Stick around and find your answers.

Hi All,

Just wanted to share my experiences.....

I get days where I feel nausea throughout the day. Just the degree of it varies. At times, its so bad that I can't do much but just wanna lay down and cry.

My Gastro doc says I have Functional Dyspepsia. My problems started sometime in October last year. I was feeling the nausea and was more worried about feeling palpitations at night when I sleep. Always felt very uncomfortable and at night it was difficult to go to sleep. Stomach always felt uncomfortable.

Anyways, I went to see a cardiologist who did an echo and said I was fine. I did get prescribed Nexium (40Mg once a day) and Motilium for about 2 weeks. Didn't really help but I did not continue with meds after that. But symptoms just continued and I kinda felt more normal after about 3-4 months. But, about 3 months ago, the nausea just got really bad. So I went to see the Gastro specialist, did a scope, and doc said nothing but mild inflamation which was just a tiny spot. Was put on Nexium again, once a day but still felt bad . Doc then prescribed Nexium twice a day and my nausea seemed to be relieved. I still had a lot of 'gas' and always felt bloated and belched a lot. After over 2 months, I didn't think the Nexium was helping anymore. Even with 2 a day, I still felt nausea. One particularly bad day, I just stopped Nexium coz it was not helping anymore.

I went and saw a chinese traditional medicine doctor who gave me these herbs to boil and drink and was told to drink 8 liters of water a day! I don't think 8 liters is possible. I only went as far as 3-4 liters. Need to take his advice with a pinch of salt I think. My other doc says drink plenty but no need to overdo it! I'm hoping water will help. Was only drinking like 1-1.5 liters a day. Now, trying to drink at least 2.5-3 a day. But, its quite hard to drink more water when you're not thirsty!

Anyhow, was still feeling nausea but it would come and go as usual. I went back to my Gastro and he prescribed me something else to try for 2 weeks i.e. Ganaton. I don't know how this is going to go. Just started taking it today. Last couple of nights, going to sleep has been hard. Could feel slight stomach discomfort and palpitations.

I'm worrying something else is wrong but no one is detecting it.

Good Morning,

I am glad to see you did not try to drink 8 liters of water per day...............there is such a thing as water poisoning that is caused by to much water.  Also to  much water  dilutes gastric juices, which stop being a natural barrier for intestinal infections.

I am wondering if you should consider seeing a new GI physician for a second opinion.  If the Ganaton does not work for you and you still feel something else is going on do seek that second opinion.

Take care,
Kitt
