This morning I got up early and the sun was shining, the sky so blue and Fall is in the air.  I felt so good !

I was wondering if anybody would be interested in posting something positive that happened each day?  It doesn't have to be anything super fantastic.  Even if it is just okay.  Just something positive.

Let's see how long we can get this thread...

I think that if we can all focus on positive aspects of our lives, that it will get our overall way of thinking to be better.  Like I said, it doesn't have to be anything super fantastic.  Even just something that didn't go wrong.  If you have any inspiring poetry or even a story from the past.  Anything would be fantastic.

They are doing this same thread in another forum.................lets see if we can make it work for us.

Hugs Kitt

We picked up 2 gorgeous baby French Lop Eared rabbits yesterday! One blue and one white! They are so cute and I love the way they hop and bound around investigating all the nooks and crannies! They are great stress relievers too. All you have to do is give them a cuddle and your worries fade away for a while. :-)

Ooh and my daughter just passed her GCSE Science (a year early) so celebrations all around here! turn

Sorry, I only noticed this today so I have posted 2 days worth! smilewinkgrin

You're right Kitt that sometimes we just need to take a step back and think of the GOOD things we have in our life instead of thinking of all the bad. Today it is a bit tough for me to find anything good - it's cloudy and rainy here and I feel like total doggie doo. But last night, me and the hubby jumped on the Harley and rode to a restaurant to meet some friends and then went to the movies. But on the ride back after dark, the roads are less busy and the cool air was rushing pass us with the awesome smell of dew ladened grass and honeysuckle. It made me feel alive :) Too bad the ride was too short.

I'm off to harvest what's left of the garden. Lots of basil, tomatoes, and of course the Zucchini-that-Time-Forgot! It feels good to be even a little self-sufficient.

We were just up at our summer home and we took a drive to Lake Superior, we were hiking through the National Forest and found a cove on Moran Bay (part of Lake Superior). We were the only people for miles. Beautiful sandy beach, woods and the waves of Lake Superior lapping on the shore. I live in a State where, a long time ago, someone had the infinite wisdom to protect the shorelines, either by State or Federal acquisition, and its been left to enjoyed by generations of Michiganders....completely free for the looking. Completely peaceful and soothing to the soul!!!

Ahhh LdyJane, that sounds awesome and so beautiful! I agree that someone was definately wise enough to preserve the shorelines of the Great Lakes. I have only seen a few of those shorelines myself because I haven't traveled much to the UP yet. (Yes, I'm a Michigander) But I plan on going as much as possible in the future :)

LadyJane,

I love the North Shore too.  Even in the winter I could curl up in a condo right on the edgeof the lake.

Today it is cloudy and overcast but it is still a great day because I am alive and I can help others. wink

Hugs to all

I am very grateful for HealingWell as it helps me so much to stay focused and to help people or just let them vent.  The support on here is incredible.

I am grateful for anyway in which I may help others to get through there tough times or celebrate the good times with them

We don't do enough bragging about the good we do, feel and share so come on out and share with us.

Hugs

Good Morning all,

I know it is hard to feel good about something when your in pain and distress. Try to think of the people in your life, a good show you watched on TV.  All the small things add up to big things.

Yesterday I spent the day a Hope Lodge, a cancer house for adults.  It is like an adult Ronald McDonald House for kids. My sister is living in this wonderful home sponsored by the Cancer Society.

The sharing and to see these people smiling and sharing with each other was awesome.  Last night was pot luck night and the kitchens were busy.  The cancer victims were right in the kitchen helping cook.  It made me feel so good to see this wonderful place.

Share your good stuff.  It really helps to look around and see the good stuff.

Hugs to all,

Kitt

It is a beautiful day here in sunny NE MS. I live close to Tupelo. It sure is nice after so much rain recently. We're going to visit my sister and 4 beautiful nephews this wkend. They live in south TX. My brother-in-law was killed June 29. He was 30 and he left behind my sis and 4 little boys, they are 7, 5, 3, and the baby is 5 mo. now. I don't mean to sound dreary but I haven't seen them since the funeral so I'm excited about seeing them. Then next Tues. I'm flying to MT to spend a wk. with my uncle and aunt and cousins so I'm excited about that. My Dr. doesn't want me going back to work till the end of Sept. so I might as well live it up. One more thing if anybody would feel like it remember my sis and nephews in prayer she needs all the prayer she can get. He was killed in a motercycle accident. Thanks. I really enjoy reading others msg. on here, and all the helpful info. Thanks to everyone. Have an awesome day!!! blush

Great Good Stuff.  Oakley, a wedding how wonderful for all.  I wish you  the best and I know your daughter will be a beautiful bride.

My sister has been going down hill and has been told her lung status is so bad that if she had to be on a ventilator again there is only a 10 %  chance of her ever coming off.  Yesterday she told  her Doctor no ventilater or CPR. It was a sad time and now we wait and pray.

Thank you for asking.  I am traveling to the hospital and usually spend 3 days and 2 nights when I am up at the hospital.

I apologize for being MIA.

Now my good stuff, my daughter brought lunch today and stayed with her Dad so that I could go to town. turn My hubby is 3 weeks post op and now his Crohn's is kicking in a bit.

So having a wonderful daughter is very good................I raised her well smilewinkgrin

Hugs

Hi Everyone!  I'm new here and this is my very first post.  I have been reading here for a few weeks, but this THREAD inspired me and made a big difference for and to me. :-)
I will introduce myself in the 'introductory" thread tonight or tomorrow, Promise!

"Think Something good"! Or post something good that happened,

WOW it was exactly what I needed to hear and think about

I have thought about it over and over for several weeks now and it has made a big difference for me.

Thinking about something good, has helped  me be on a positive track, and I sure have needed to be positive rather than dwelling on how I feel or wondering what was wrong with me.

Thank you to the poster who made this thread, I should have noted the poster's name before I clicked here!  Sorry, I will take note as soon as I am done here. yeah

The day I read this thread was a Good Thing That Happened to Me!  It has been the reason I try to think of good things everyday!

Bumping from page 2!

For today, a good thing was I was able to actually get some house chores done around here  LOL  I have found if I get really moving after eating, I feel a lot better!  I'm weak, so I didn't get a lot done, but I still was able to get some things done!  yeah    I think the get 'moving' by me helps in the digestion and the rest of GERD story!  yeah

Also this thread, was the cause of me to begin thinking,  THIS IS NOT GOING TO RULE MY LIFE AND I AM NOT GOING TO STOP LIVING!  tongue    Yea!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you!

mary love,

Whooooo hoooooo for you.  that was a great post.

I am thankful for every day I can make a difference in the lives of others. I have always wanted to help others and my career in nursing provided that opportunity for me.

Now I have HealingWell and when I get up each day I know I can come here and hopefully bring some peace and support to others.

I feel so good knowing not only am I helping, I am still needed. turn I retired early due to medical problems but nothing is going to keep me down.

Come on all, add the good stuff in your lives.

Gentle Hugs

Kitt

Thank you Kitt!  :-) I am thankful YOU are here!  :-)

Here is a Good Thing!

I am so thankful that after taking Prevacid for 5-6 day, I feel great.  The heartburn has hasn't bothered me at all.  The heavyness is my chest has also not been there. :-)    This has all been a Very Good Thing.

In early July they had put me on Prilosec OTC/2 times a day, which did nothing for me.  I stopped taking it mid August, cause I felt it was making me sicker.

Another Good thing was finding the right docotor!  I am so thankful for that everyday I wake up.

Another good thing, is getting out and cleaning up the gardens! Whether I want to or not.  tongue   It keeps me moving!  Also the sense of accomplishment is a good thing!  It helps keep one's mind off of one's self, which is a good good thing!

The good things in life today,

I am grateful to Administration for starting HealingWell and for all the great support I see on the whole site.   HW is now 60,451 members strong.  And to think it all started with one person.

I am feeling good about being able to talk to my sister by phone everyday.  To hear her voice lifts me up.

Hugs to all
Kitt
