for almost 3 years I was on 40 mg of Prilosec a day GERD, stomach hurt, Dr's said the same things irritation..blah..blah..
One of my friends told me to start a regimen of 4 Flax seed oil tablets a day (1 at breakfast, lunch, dinner, bedtime) along with 8 Acidopholis/probiotic tablets a day ((2 at breakfast, lunch, dinner, bedtime along with the flax).
It took about 3 weeks but my stomach started feeling better I was still taking the prilosec but dropped the dosage.
Another month later i totally stopped the prilosec. Another 2 months and I changed my intake to only 2 of the flax and 2 of the acidophilus/probiotics a day.
Here I am 3 years later and I only take 1 of each a day. Those days if i overeat or have too much fat I also take digestive enzymees and might take another flax and acidopholis.
My doctor said...if it helped you...then dont stop.
My throat is healed and no more GERD symtopms. Excercise more, watch my diet and don't eat at night past 6:30-7.
