I came prepared with all my symptoms written down, all of my latest test results and lab results... the doc was very impressed with me and wished more patients would be so thorough!! So I am scheduled for an endoscopy next Tuesday and a colonoscopy for the 29th (ugh). He says he will do a biopsy from my stomach while in there. He's concerned about the length of time that I've been having trouble (my heartburn and constant diarrhea) and has given me a script for Prevacid. So here goes to a fun month!! Wish me luck!!

Lots of LUCK BumBum81!  I was where you are this past month.  I have had the Endoscopy and still waiting for my colonoscopy. I had a lot of diarrhea also, but after I stopped drinking so much Mylanta, it is gone.  I found out, the Mylanta contains sorbitol.  Once I stopped the Mylanta, the diarrhea for me went away.  I bought some Rolaids, no sorbitol, incase I needed it, but so far the Prevacid has worked great for me, and have only used the Rolaids one time.  :-)    That might not be your reason, but I added it since it was something I found out about me.

Not to worry about the endoscopy, the last thing I remember was the guy saying "Sweet Dreams"!

Good Luck again!  :-)
