I've about had it with this illness.  Does anyone actually ever recover?  What I mean by recover is, is anyone actually able to eat normally again with out taking massive amounts of PPIs or take all these freakin health food store concoctions just to digest their food?  For 22 years of my life I ate practically whatever I wanted (and it wasn't junk foods, I ate relatively healthy) and never had a single problem with acid.  Now it is just to the point where I really want to give up.  I've had this debilitating illness for 3 years now, and I have not gotten better, only worse.  Is there any way to CURE this disease?  Or is this a prison sentence until we all die with horrid complications?

I am so sorry you have been through 3 rough years.  From what I have read, unfortunately, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, in general, cannot be cured at present.

Lots of treatments to try but no cure at this point unless someone else has info other then diet control, surgeries, meds and alternative meds.

Gentle Hugs my friend.

Thanks for replying Kitt
I find the only thing that works for me is if I don't eat at all.  And thats not a solution.
