Although I've had GERD for quite a while, I really need to discuss this newest development.
My GERD is evergoing, but at times I have breakthrough heartburn.  It usually happens once or twice a year - fall and spring.  Well, fall has arrived, and I've been suffering again for about 5 weeks.  So I have another endoscopy scheduled for this coming Friday.   Every endo. has been negative for anything, with a clear esophogus, and normal biopsies.
Well, just in the past week and a half, I have developed a stabbing pain below my breast bone. Lasts about 2-3 minutes, and then it is gone. It isn't everyday, and sometimes it is only every other day. So, does anyone else have this?  Could this be the development of a hiatal hernia?   And yes, I'm over 50, so I understand by being a bit overweight, as I am, being over 50, and being female contributes to the chances of it being a hh.
Any info. you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
