Hi everyone
thanks for looking at this post --  im suffering from very painful burning gastritis -- the heartburn is immense and life altering - im currently on 2x dissolvable prevacid -- (as i side im also a severe constipation sufferer too!)
Iam wondering if i should go on a liquid diet for a few days to rest my stomach and to see if this will help my stomach issue?  has anyone tried this method? if so, how should i go about this?
thank you

I would like you to talk with your physician before putting yourself on a liquid diet.  He may want to recheck you first to see what the problem is with the gastritis.

My doctor had me on liguids and soft foods such as mashed potatoes, yougurt when the gastritis is at it's worst. Also, try taking liguid calcicum (in US Krogers Active Lifestyle is a powder that you pour into a bottle of water and drink). My doctor had me add calcium (1200-1500) mg to my diet as a stomach soother. So far, it appears to be working.
