Hi there,
I have an appointment with my ENT this week and I'm trying to think of how to describe the feeling in my throat. I'm just wondering what others have said and do you feel it in just 1 area or different areas. The best way that I could describe some of how I feel would be that it kind of feels like when you're about to cry. Also it kind of feels like how your throat would feel like after smoking too much. (ex-smoker now). Don't think I could smoke if I wanted to because of the throat issues, I can't explain why though. And when I snort, a thickness (mucus) is there when I swallow. I can feel it mostly in the hollow of my throat but there have been times that's it's been on the side or by the glands. I have no problems when I sleep but feel it more when I move around. Also chewing gum helps a little.
Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? Let me know how you would describe it.
Thanks much!

Thanks Sam,
I have checked out the GERD resources and I've been to a couple of doctors and no one can really pin point what's going on. It's nice to get information from others that have gone through some of this and it doesn't make you feel like you're going nuts.
Thanks again!

Hello, This is Kitt and I am sure there are members out there that will respond to your questions. Your sx should be able to be sorted out by your ENT.  Make sure you take your list of questions with you when you go to clinic as it is so easy to forget to ask a question that was important to you.

Remember you are your own best advocate when you are seeking answers to your health problems.  I will keep you in my prayers and hope that you get the answers your looking for.

Gentle Hugs
