Yeah please make a list for your doc as it's VERY easy to forget what questions you have when you're in there. Nothing worse than driving home and saying to yourself "CRAP! I forgot to ask him _____?"
I would suggest grabbing some appplicable questions from the list i posted last week. I'm especially curious as to what size Bougie they used for your surgery. One question i DID forget to ask was:
"How much smaller is my stomach now?" - i've heard anywhere from 5-20% smaller... curious as to what my doc would have said since he saw my stomach..heh.
As for the eating thing, yeah i'm able to put down a fair amount of food, i'm surprised as i'm only 3 weeks Post-Op. And i cant imagine not being able to eat steak again. My doc said that i could eat ANYTHING i wanted during my recovery so long as i chew the heck out of it or mechanically chopped it (food processor/blender). I guess i just overate against my better judgement and my girlfriend telling me it wasnt a good idea. It was just SO good!
I'm sorry to hear you cant eat steak. You may want to try a well marinated steak tips cooked medium rare to medium. Chew exTREMELY well and swallow only bits at a time. I'm even able to eat pizza, although this is by far the hardest thing to eat that i've tried. I'm still nowhere near daring enough to try a sub or sandwhich or anything like that, or really fiborous stuff like shredded wheat or anything.
I just had about a 20oz Morning Shake that consisted of a carnation instant breakfast, 12 oz of milk and cup of fresh strawberries. And some fiber.
I guess things are going pretty well, today i dont really feel the effects of my overeating last night but my stomach sure has been angry lately.
