Bill, sorry you didn't sleep well. I know what that's like. I tend to do that too when I get a bunch of sleep at once even if I really needed it to catch up. Boy I found out what it's like to be in game day traffic. It is not fun. Apparently if you are wearing green and gold you can just walk out in traffic and they are magically supposed to stop for you. I'm not one to swear but I ended up swearing and my windows were open when people just tried to walk into the side of my car where there wasn't even a cross walk. My sister had to yell at some girls for trying to walk into the side of the car while texting. We ended up 3 blocks away because I wasn't going to pay $30 for parking to see my brother in laws band play. We paid $10 to park in a hardware store parking lot and my sister paid half so that wasn't bad. We only got to see half an hour of music as we were not given good directions and drove around in the crazy traffic. I felt sorry for the cops directing traffic. The foot traffic was the ones that caused all the trouble. One officer starting yelling stay on the side walk it will hurt when a car hits you. We had dinner at the restaurant in the bar he played at. It was really good. They had TV's every where so you could see the game. I hate foot ball so I could have cared less but my hubby was happy. It was kind of cool to hear the crowd yell at the stadium since we were right across the street. We left before the game was over because I did not want to drive in that traffic again. We went home and had a camp fire with my sister and her husband.

Denise hope all goes well with the house showing and the inspector tomorrow. Barb

Hi Barb,
Wow, you had a busy day! I hate traffic like that. It's stressful, that's for sure. Glad you had a good time, though.

Thanks for the good wishes about our house. The inspector comes tomorrow morning at 8:30, so wish us luck. Our house is really well built. It's 40 years old, though, so there are bound to be a few little quirks.

Have a good day tomorrow!

Hi Bea,
Yup...I get frisky way too much. I've kind of got the attitude "oh well"--I can't second guess my little wrap friend, and I don't mind if I irritate it once in a while. So I go for it. Unless my stomach is really bothering me...then I have to calm down for a while! It was my first hamburger, though. Maybe if I wasn't so hungry I would have slowed down and not had any problems at all!
Take care and have a great week!

Hi all-
I did something bad tonight. A few friends called and wanted me to come out and watch them race go carts. Well since I used to race dirt track cars I had to go watch. Yep you guessed it , I let them talk me into racing them. I won of course. Even used their so called "slower" cart to school them. And yes now the ribs are screaming. Of cousre all the pressure in the seat goes in the right side....the bad side. My daughter was super impressed though. She kept trying to get pictures, but said I was going by to fast for her phone to catch me. I'll take some pain to make my daughter proud of her ole man.She said she didn't know I could drive that fast. She was really young when I last raced. She had a huge grin from ear to ear when I got off the cart.
I batter not do that very often or I'll be buying another car soon. Then my wife will kill me!

Take care,
Bill

Oh no Bill I hope you recover quickly. You don't need any more pain that's for sure. I went out to my daughters house tonight to visit. She messed up her hand working on her floor and wanted to borrow my hand splint that I used after surgery. She says it really feels better with the splint on it so glad I could help her out. I enjoyed seeing her dog, cat and boyfriend too. My little Gizmo was really sniffing me when I got home. He loves my daughters cat.

Denise, I hope all goes well with the house you have worked so hard for this. How's your stomach doing? I went out tonight for my brother in laws 40th birthday to a restauant and the wrap I ordered was supposed to have no onions so I ended up sending it back as onions cause my stomach havoc. I hope the few I ate don't bother me.

Bea, hope your doing well. Has your stomach calmed down? I hope so.

Kitt hope you had fun this weekend at the cottage. I kept busy around town. All the skin around my wound came off and there is nice pink skin. I just have one little spot that is still a bit sore so swimming would not have been a smart thing to do. I think maybe another week and I should be good to go hit the water. Barb

Good Morning All,

I had a really good time at the cabin and being with my family was really fun.  The teens made me laugh until I nearly pee peed in my pant.  They are such clowns but it was so great to see everyone enjoying themseilves.

Lots of great food and yesterday was Amy's 16th birthday so of course there was cake and ice cream.  Yum.  My MIL makes the best fudge frosting ever.

I will work hard at catching up with all and I have Bills new thread up.

I will get to get the other threads that are getting long into a new Part whatever they need.

Thanks all for asking how my holiday was..............next time you all come on along.

Gentle Hugs

Kitt

Hi Kitt glad you had a good time. I have to agree too that teens can be quite the clowns. I have 2 teenage nephews. We have a lot of fun when they hang out at our house. Hope every one has a great day. I am off to the gym. Too hot to walk out side. Barb

Hi all-
Well I am officially on medical leave again at work. I am hoping that means Aetna approved my short term disability. I talked with my doctor again today and I have to go see him again on the 26th. His nurse said Aetna and my work called for information and an update. I hope everyone is doing well tonight.

Take care,

Hello all
Glad you had a good time at the cabin Kitt the cake sounded wonderful.

Bill Hope everything works out for you with Aetna. Hope you are feeling better after the go cart race.

Bea I agree with you a big juicy grease running down your arm burger would be great. I guess it will be a little while before I can enjoy one of those.

Hi Mary glad to see you here again. Hope your doing well.

Bill, hope all goes well with Aetna and work. I know how hard it is to wait when your not sure when you'll be better. I went through that after my accident. I had to see my doctor every week to be re evaluated. I had to cut back on the pain meds to go back to work. Well I am off to the gym to swim as my hand finaly sealed shut. Woo Hoo! tongue At least somethings going my way. Hope things turn around for you soon Bill. I'll keep praying for you. Have a good night. Barb

Hi Bill,
You are one very determined guy, aren't you? I'm glad you had fun racing your car, and I hope your rib feels much better soon. Good luck with your Aetna claim. It certainly is obvious that you deserve your benefits!

Sorry I haven't been on much. We had some last minute things to finish in time for the inspection (put in some new closet lights, cleaned out a couple downspouts and revised it a bit, etc.) We've heard from the buyer's agent that the inspection went great and there's nothing that we need to do, so that's a relief. Now on to the mortgage appraiser. Don't know when that'll happen. It's a real ordeal, and we're thankful for the guidance of the real estate agents. We'll pay dearly, but I think it would be overwhelming to take care of all these things without their support.

Hope all my friends here are doing well. Sorry I haven't been on to chat much lately. We're now trying to enjoy life a bit before school starts.
Take care everyone, and enjoy the summer weather!

Hi Denise, that's understandable with all you have been doing lately. Wow that must be a great feeling to have the inspection go so well after all your hard work. It was so nice to get in the pool after 5 weeks. I was only able to do one set of my back exercises because it bothered my hand to go through the water like that so I mostly did leg exercises and paddled around. Hope every thing continues to go well with the house. BArb

Hi all-
I had one heck of a night last night. Had this awful pain in my left side. Thought I might have had a kidney stone or something. It started about 12:30 am and didn't stop until about 8:30 am. I tried a heating pad and finally had to take 2 hot baths. Michelle wanted me to go to the hospital, but I have had enough of that and refused to go. I don't think she was too happy about that. Thankfully I had the anti nausea meds too. It started again this evening, but only lasted about 2 hours.

Denise, You sure do deserve so R&R time. School will be starting before you know it. My daughter starts high school this year and has to go to her orientation Thursday. She is very excited. She even gets to start high school softball this fall. They decided to play fall ball also this year. Going to be interesting because they will only have 2 weeks to practice together before they play games.

Take care,
Bill

Thanks, Bill and Barb!
Barb...glad you got back into the pool. The water rushing by does do different things to your body...I'm sure it was a treat after all the time you waited to get swimming. Paddling around is about all I do when I get in to cool off. It's a great place for exercise, since it doesn't put stress on joints like land based exercising.

Bill, so sorry to hear you're in so much pain. If you keep having that much pain, you need to listen to Michelle and get yourself checked out. I know you don't want to go near a hospital, but at least get an appointment with your doctor. Have you called the dr's office yet? Go for it! THey should know what you're experiencing. It's not right.
Stay out of race cars, and don't do any diving catches today, okay?
Take care and feel better!

Denise-
I did call my doctor today. I have a 10:50 am appointment tomorrow. Unfortunately he isn't in today and I don't care for the others at the office. My mom and sister think I have a kidney stone. With my luck it's either that or my appendix is hurting on the wrong side and that would be normal for me.

I also think I found out why I aggravated the nerve in my ribs. I was messing around with my bow today and decided I wanted to try a little target shooting in the back yard. I couldn't pull it back and had to drop it down about 10 pounds to get it back. I have lost so much strength and I was struggling with the blades and weights at work. I think with the strength I have lost I over did it with the blades at work and that's what made my ribs hurt again. So I have started to work out on my Crossbow again. It is similar to a Bowflex. Maybe if I regain my upper body strength My ribs will ease up.

Take care,
Bill

Hey Bill,

Oh ya, you betcha the bow can cause you some sore muscles and rib pain.  My hubby is the great white hunter too and he has to start out each season with the smaller bow and work up to his high test one.  He had a really bad year where he strained his shoulder and it bothered him for a long time.  He went to PT for awhile.

I do hope you get your disability insurance all sorted out.

Glad to hear you have a physician's appointment tomorrow and I will be praying for you.................and cheering too.

Here is one for you:

 Hunting Flies

A woman walked into the kitchen to find her husband stalking around with a fly swatter

'What are you doing?' she asked.

'Hunting Flies', he responded.

'Oh! Killing any?' she asked.

'Yep, 3 males, 2 Females,' he replied.

Intrigued, she asked. 'How can you tell them apart?'

He responded, '3 were on a beer can, 2 were on the phone.’

Kicks and giggles to you.

Kitt

Denise,

Awsome, you have a bid on your house.  All that hard work did it and you sure do deserve a lot of R & R.  I know school is coming up fast so just enjoy each day.

I know when the appraiser comes to look over your home you just hold your breath.  Just think your dream is coming more of a reality each day.  You so deserve to move to your new home.

Hugs to you,

Kitt

Barb,

Away you go into the pool.  You must be as happy as a pig in mud.  I am so happy for you and glad the wound finally healed.  You have done a great job and you deserve to stay in the pool as long as you like.

Any good movies lately?

Gentle hugs my friend,

Kitt

Oooohhhh! I want a pool or a nice whirlpool tub. I have mild arthritis in my back from a car accident 20 years ago and a hot soak sounds great today. The nearest pool to me requires a membership fee and they have limited times available for swimmers. They do swim team practice and teaching.

Hi everyone! Denise, I just KNOW that the appraisal is going to come back just fine (the great and powerful financial wizard has spoken!!!) How are the house plans coming?

Bea, how can you not like football!!! Girl, my balloon has been deflated :) Oh, do I love football!!!

Barb, I am so happy to hear that your hand is healing! Hooray!!

Joy, you can come to my house, I have a jacuzzi, no pool, but you can soak for a long time!

Kitt, I am so glad you had a good time at the cabin! You deserve all the best of EVERYTHING!!!

Bill, like Denise, I'm worried about the pain as well, please let us know how the Dr. appointment goes. I hope this doesn't come across as preaching, but....the neighbor here had a significant health problem and filed for disability; he got it, but one night he went putt putt with his family and, you won't believe this, about a week later, he got a letter saying his disability was being revoked! If he was well enough to go to a theme park (theme park...putt putt!) he didn't need disability. A long time and lots of money for the attorney later, it was finally reinstated, but at what cost? What he went through was awful! Around here, they actually do watch people...please be careful!!

Anyway, I'm done preaching!! Have a great night everyone!!!

Hi Janice, I want to come over to your hot tub. Lol. Much to my dismay the one at the gym is being repaired. cry It's so wonderful for all my aches and pains. I hope you start healing up soon too. It's so hard to wait for things to get better.

Hey Joy, I know the hot tub is so great for aches and pains like that. That was my favorite thing after my moped accident to go in the pool at the gym and then into the hot tub. It really is healing.

Hi Kitt, it was so great to hit the pool again. I'll have to take it slow because it bothered my hand a bit but I'm just happy to be back in the water. I know it will help my back too. Tomorrow night I am going to see one of the personal trainers at the gym. I saw a good movie in the cardio cinema at the gym about the USA olympic hockey team in the 70's. Don't know the name but I ended up doing 65 minutes instead of the 30 on the treadmill because I got sucked into the movie. I hope I can catch the end of it and the beginning one of these days when I go. Transformers 2 was awesome at the out door as well as Imagine that with Eddie Murphy.

Denise, the pool exercises really help my back since I can't do crunches because of a small hernia by my belly button. I learned them from my pool therapy after my accident. Hope you have a great time on your gettaways.

Bill, sorry to hear about all the pain your in. I'm glad your going to see your doctor. You did not need any more pain in your life that is for sure. I messed up myself on Monday night and bent over and made my back that was not hurting at all for the first time in 2 months hurt again. I could have kicked myself. I got carried away I guess because it felt so good. Barb

Kitt,
Thanks for the good wishes about our house adventure! We had a radon test taken out of the house this afternoon--don't know the results, because the inspector couldn't tell me. Later in the day, though, we found out that they had taken the house inspection and radon contingencies off the offer, so now all they have to do is get their mortgage commitment, and we're good to go. Once all that is done, we'll contact our builder and tell him to go forward with our townhouse. In the meantime, my husband will have to get on the job and find us a place to live! It'll definitely be an interesting year...my last year teaching before retirement. Yikes!

Hey Bill,
hope your bow workouts help strengthen your muscles and help you manage your pain. Glad you're going to see your doctor. That much pain isn't good, and you need to get to the bottom of it.

Barb,
Glad you're enjoying the pool. Wish we had an outdoor theater here. We did years ago, but it closed. I have fond memories of it. I think there is one around somewhere, but it's a long ways away.

Joy,
Hope school's going well. We start September 1st--the first time we've ever started before Labor Day. I've had a great summer. Although we've worked constantly, it has been a complete break from school, so I'm ready to go back. It is so busy and stressful once school starts, though. It's so nice to have no school responsibilities. I'm thinking about trying to get a job as a teaching assistant after I retire. Then I could work with the kids, but have no responsibilities...I could leave school empty handed! Wouldn't that be nice?

Janice,
Your quilts are absolutely beautiful. You're an artist! It takes so much patience and perseverance to complete a quilt that size. Hope your doctor appointment goes well!

Take care All!
Denise
