Hi there! Still new at finding out what is good and bad with reflux.
Does anyone here drink SlimFast shakes or know of resources on whether it's a "reflux friendly" meal?  Once work starts back up, I usually have a SlimFast shake everyday for lunch (quick and easy). I just realized that maybe I won't be able to do that. UGH!
Thanks in advance!!!

I have used Slim Fast in the past without problems other then burping.  I usually have regurge of anything like this product if I drink them to late in the day..............
I would say go ahead and try it and see how it goes.
Take care,

I have had GERD for several years but recently in the last couple of months it's gotten much worse. I've gained about 15 pounds in the past year. My ENT today went down my throat with a camera to check my vocal cords because of the hoarseness. I'm a choral director, so the hoarseness was really cutting into my teaching. No nodules on the cords, so he is going to aggressively treat the acid reflux by adding Zantac 150 at bedtime. I'm going to change my diet, start drinking at least 80 oz of water a day, elevate my bed...

I have been drinking a Slimfast on my way to school for the past 8 years, probably. I hope by changing the other parts of my diet I won't have to give that up. But it is chocolate based. :/

I'm open to any other breakfast suggestions. I'm hoping that the hoarseness will clear up by May 2nd. I've got to sing the Star Spangled Banner at a building dedication!

Watch the preservatives in slim fast. Preservatives are acidic.
