Hi every one my pain management doc was wanting to switch me too tramadol and I'm worried about it upsetting my very touchy stomach. He said it wouldn't but that is not what the side effects I read said. I know Denise has a stomach as bad as mine so wondered if you had tried the tramadol yet? Barb

Barb-
I use Tramadol regularly and it is easier than Ibuprophen on my stomach. I would wait to see what Denise has to say about it though. Seems you and her stomach are very close when it comes to what sets them off. Just wanted to let you know for me, it doesn't cause any issues.

Take care,
Bill

Hi Barb,
Sorry...I've never tried it. I wish I could help! I understand that you don't even want to put it in your stomach. We're definitely in the same boat. The only thing I can manage is Tylenol. If you do try it, I'll be interested in knowing how it goes.

I've had significant bone loss over the past two years, and my family doc wouldn't even consider giving me the oral drugs for osteoporosis. He wants me to research Reclast--an IV drug that is given once a year to build bone. I don't have osteoporosis yet--I'm diagnosed with osteopenia. I'm keeping my family doc when we move...it's just an hour away, and he's the only one who really knows my stomach.

Good luck with the Tramadol. It's probably worth a try if you think it'll help you. You'll know pretty quick if it bothers you. My stomach feels like *** the past two days. I don't know why, but it's miserable. I've given up tippy toeing around it...I'm sure I ate and drank things that weren't the best. Oh well, this too will pass.

When do you leave for your trip to see your new, sweet little grandbaby?
Have a great week,
Denise

Yeah mine isn't doing so great either right now. I've ate and drank stuff I shouldn't have. Very stupid right before a trip. Oh well will have to try to baby it. We leave Tuesday after work after I finish packing. My least favorite thing to do is trying to cram every thing into a 2 door Saturn coop. I have to do it all from the inside as the trunk doesn't open. Oh well can't wait to see that grandbaby and his big sister and brother. Well I am off to bed. Barb

Hey Denise, my stomach did get better. We ended up stoping for the night in TN so I didn't drink as much soda to stay awake so that helped. I'm really sick right now with a horrible sinus infection. The doctor on call for my doc up in WI gave me amoxicillan which probably isn't going to be strong enough. my grand kids were sick and I didn't keep up with my sinus rinse so ended up sick. I will try the antibiotic for a few days and if not any better will just have to go to an ER down here. This really sucks being sick on vacation. Oh well. I will just pray it works. Barb
