Okay, things are beginning to roll.
I got a confirmation from my new GI doctor for my November appointment.
I see him on Tues. 24th at 9:30 and have the endoscopy on Wed. 25th at 8:00am.
I didn't want to see him over a two days span, but I'll take it anyway.
I'll have to travel for 5 hours on Monday, get a motel for those days, and drive back 5 hours.
If he gives the go ahead I'll have the surgery in December during my Christmas break. I'll probably take a few extra days after the break for healing time.

Sounds like a good plan ! I wish you the best of luck.

I am sure that your Christmas break will be an ideal time for you to recover.

I forgot...are you a teacher>

Take care, Anne

Good luck, Joy. I know how long you've been waiting to get started. You're obviously very motivated to travel that distance for your tests and surgery. We're all rooting for you, and hope that your problems are solved with your procedure.
Hope all is well. I've been incredibly busy (still am) with our move. I'm still unpacking boxes and putting things away into our apartment. School responsibilities on top of the move pretty much put me over the top.
Take care!

Thanks ya'll! I'm praying that whatever the outcome is, it will be the right choice in the long run.

Annie- yes, I teach first grade.

The stress of this year, my GERD, and my allergies are giving me frequent asthma attacks lately. I'm going to see my allergist on Monday to see what he can do for me.

It's good to hear things are rolling along for you. I pray the allergist can help you.
