what PPI's have you had the most luck with or work the quickest?

my doctor gave me multiple samples and said they are all the same  basically and even said that prevacid even works pretty good.  i don't even know how long OTC meds last though?  which ones have you had the most luck with?

Well, they are supposed to be similar, but most people find that certain ones work and others don't or they stop working over time. I never got any relief from Prilosec, butPrevacid, Achiphex, and Nexium did work. I had to go to a higher dosage on the Prevacid a couple times though. I also found that the prevacid solutabs worked better for me, but the taste isn't the greatest. IT's not bad, but not great either.

I think you should try them all and see which works best for you and go from there. Like mentioned, everyone's different and some may or may not work.

one under the brand name Pariet worked for me for months, then stopped working. After that I began with Nexium until it stopped working, then jumped back to Pariet and it worked, and then once it stopped again back to Nexium.

Maybe not a healthy way of doing things but that is how it worked out. I tried a brand name Pantecta which didnt help at all ever.
