Here's the deal. I restarted Protonix at the same time I started taking the birth control pill to regulate my hormones. I took them both for a week and a half. Stopped taking both 5 days ago. For the last few days I've been waking up with a morning sickness type thing. I'm pretty nauseated for quite some time in the morning. I've also been waking up with the feeling at night. Now I'm not sure if it's from the meds or what's going on. I usually get the "icky" feeling before bed but I know that's just from the acid but this is worse. Makes me want to run to the bathroom. No, not pregnant, had a tubal. Anyone else have this or know what it is/could be?

Good Morning,

Bet your wishing it was afternoon ??  confused

You could try old home remedy for morning sickness that I have also seen suggested for GERD, ginger tea.

Here is one more for you to try. Take 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon honey in cold water before bed.

I am sorry to hear you are going through this.

Lots of gentle hugs so as not to upset your tummy.

When I first started developing GERD symptoms, my main symptom was nausea (so it took me a while to realize it was GERD!). I often woke up in the middle of the night with nausea, feeling like I would throw up but I never did... sometimes the nausea would persist during the day too. I'm sure it was worse during the night since it's easier for the acid to back up when you're laying down. Lately I've been getting other symptoms instead, but I do still get the nausea on occasion...
