Hi all, I've been educating myself on the Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF) and Nissen Fundoplication procedures. Both of these procedures repair the lower esophogeal sphincter, but I have LPR, which means my lower esophogeal sphincter AND my upper esophogeal sphincter are both weak, and the stomach acid makes its way up into my larynx and farther. I guess the logic is that repairing the LES will solve the problem, but it seems to me it would be more thorough to repair both. Does anyone know about any procedures that repair the UES? Or if TIF can repair the UES as well?

Thanks,
Christophe

Christophe,
I don't know if EsophyX can help you or not. I think you have to have good motility to have it done.
I'm waiting now to see if I'm a good cantidate for it. I'm afraid my HH might be too big.

My HH was too big.

I hear it will last about as long as a Nissen (up to 20 yrs). I heard it was 6 weeks to heal, but the diet lasted 12 weeks.
