I'm very excited! He said I should be back to eating normally without meds in no time. He said the nutritionist will explain the diet before I get discharged but he said it will mainly be a soft diet since he's doing a loose wrap. No heavy lifting for 2 weeks. He said my daughter is fine, good thing! lol He's done the most nissens in the surrounding cities and has had over a 97% success rate.

I did forget to ask him if I need to take prilosec the morning of surgery. Anyone know?

Great News!
I'm so glad for you. Are you having a full Nissen or a 270?

It's a full. Oh and he also said I have to wait a month or two before I can get my tonsils out.

I didn't have to take PPIs before either of my Nissens. The Nissen will be much easier than the tonsils.

Ok. He said not to eat or drink anything after midnight the night before but I was sure about taking the meds. You would think them messing around in there would be easier than tonsils! lol

I was told to take the PPI before the surgery. Just don't drink much and take it plenty early. It's not fun sitting around waiting for your turn for surgery with acid bothering you.
