I'm home today. The pain was very mild.

Good luck!

Wow Joy!
It's great you have little pain. Just don't get rambunctious and do too much! Sit around and enjoy being waited on. No shopping, no driving, just nap and eat your tiny meals.

Best wishes!
Alcie

I'm being very pampered right now. My mother is babying me to the hilt. She keeps bring me things and is tidying up my small apartment.
I had trouble getting in and out of bed last night, so I wound up sleeping in my lazyboy.

I have some minor pain in my wrist from the IV. I found several bruises on my upper arm where they took my blood pressure. Some looks like finger prints.

How are you feeling today, mookie?

I hope you're feeling better.

I'm still very gassy.

Drink a half cup of beef or chicken broth. It will give you some protein. The things you listed are high in sugar and will send your blood sugar up and crash. Try to eat only 4 oz. or less at a time. Even though I feel like I could eat more I keep my portions small and my meals often. If I go over that amount I get painful hiccups.
Try sugar free jello, light yogurt, and broth it will give you more protein to fill you and keep you from getting light headed.

I had a problem with deep breathing. I found myself doing very shallow breathing for a few days. It's getting better though.

Hey all,

So happy for all of you.  Yes, eat small amounts just real often, every 2-3 hours.  This will help with the feeling that something is in your back, that is gas.   Walk and it will help it go away.  I also at lots of oatmeal, the single serving size is about right and it fills you up.

Nothing that is carbonated to drink or you will really feel it.  Wait at least 8 weeks to even try it.

Sounds like all of you had great surgeons, I truly beleive that makes all the difference.

To all, gas-x will be your best friend.  It has been about 14 months since my surgery and that is still a problem, but I can live with that thanks to gas-x.  They now have it in tiny capsule like things, I take 2 everytime I get the gas.

Talk to all of you tomorrow.  It is great living without the reflux.

Hugs to all

Jayne
