just checking in with everyone. has anyone ever got relief from lpr. i take ppis 2 a day and get no , i mean no relief. my throat is as red as a fire truck and has been for 1.5 yrs. scheduled for another manometry, 24 hr ph study and endoscopy. also have gastritis induced from drugs(prescribed) and a slight delay in stomach emptying. all the antidepressants and addictive sedatives did the damage. anyone get better with surgery. i have heard plaind gerd sufferers improving with fundo, but those of us with gerd/lpr i honestly have not heard of improvement

I had silent GERD. My lungs were constantly irritated from the acid. Meds were no helping me anymore.

I had the surgery last month and am feeling great. I don't cough all the time from gunk. I had a partial Nissen called a Hill procedure (270 degree wrap).

thats awesome. glad youre both doing well. sometimes i feel like tossing in the towel because no local drs. listened, now i have got a new doc whos ready to see whats going on i just hope relief can be found. any surgeons/clinics i should keep in mind. problem no drs in ia can offer anything but fundo, i want whats best for me for once, not whats easy for them. thanks again for the post

Check with the American Gastroendrologist (sp?) website. You can look up your state and get a list of GIs in your area.
