Hey, I got up in the middle of the night last night and found this thread, read through four pages of it and found a lot of interesting ideas. So, thanks for that!
Last night I had some McDonalds chicken nugs and fries with ketchup. I don't know if that is what caused me such a panicky distress and woke me up from a scary dream last night or what.
The thing is, I woke up feeling ill to my stomach and just an overall feeling of panic - palpitations, a need to sit up instead of lying down, a slight shortness of breath, and the weirdest of all was the smell of menthol.
It lasted for a few hours and I finally took a prescribed benzodiazepine (clonazepam 0.5). So, I've never heard about
BMS, that is something I will look into. My tongue and parts of my inner lips and gums were kind of burning. That is tremendously weird.
I could not stop thinking about
those Mcdonald nuggets, and the chemicals used to glue them together, so I was making myself nauseated with my mental powers!
I haven't been to the hospital in almost five years for shortness of breath and panic. But last night I really had my finger ready to hit that emergency button.
I had a really rough night and I wonder if it might have been the food, or whatever. I am hesitant to talk to my doctor because I am sure he will not know much about
it. But because of all the people in this thread, I do know that this must be a real thing. I believe that there are enough of us suffering that there could be a legitimate study done to make some discovery.
You know, maybe pinpoint some common causes. I apologize for rambling and not really saying much. But I do want to say that I am thankful to have found this information online. There is still plenty more to read, so I will get to it.
