I was going to have it and researched it throughly. If you need some questions answered, I can tell you what I found out and what the surgeon told me about the pros and cons of it.

So what are the pros and cons of Esophyx? What did your surgeon tell you?

1. Less pain
2. less healing time
3. quicker surgery time
4. stronger LES

1. if your HH is bigger than 2cm you can't have it. It will pull your stomach up into your chest becauses it shortens your esophagus.
2. It is a new procedure and not many doctors are fully trained in it.
3. there is a risk of your esophagus getting torn in the procedure
4. The staples have a high risk of popping loose during strain in the early months
5. There is a risk of a staple damaging a blood vessel or nerve
