Hi all,
At my GI doctor's recommendation, I finally went to an ENT doctor to scope my larynx.  I could tell he was a bit taken aback because I walked into the office and simply announced that I had LPR and needed to have it documented.  Sure enough, though, he came to the same conclusion--duh!  My question is this:  I'm already on nexium twice a day and 300 mg of zantac before bed, and I still have LPR symptoms (nasal congestion, sore throat, cough, throat clearing, etc...).  Is there anything else that can be done, aside from surgery?
Current dx: Rheumatoid Arthritis
Suspected dx: UCTD/Lupus
Current Meds: Enbrel, Methotrexate, nexium, tramadol, nasonex, Nifedipine, Folic Acid, Tylenol PM

You are on the highest doses of the meds you can take. I know because I was there. I had the Hill procedure (270 degree wrap) done on Dec. 22, 2009 and those symptoms are gone!
Find a surgeon who can do the Hill. You won't be sorry.
