I found that licorice tea really works for gerd.I have had gerd for three years now but i have been off ov medications for two years thanks to licorice tea,but you have to drink a lot of it 3-4 cups a day but it works at least for me does.I hope this will help you too.

Zudo, I started you a new intro thread. I hope you don't mind. I was afraid your post would get lost tagged on an old thread that none posts on now. :-)

I'm surprise licorice tea works for you. My doctor told me no licorice or peppermint tea. I'm fine with that I don't like them anyway. tongue

I do well on one of the PPIs and have never tried any teas. I am glad you have found something that appears to work for you.

Again a warm welcome,

I have been on Nexium for nine years. Now I am taking one Nexium in the morning. In addition I take a supplement DGL ULTRA and also drink Egyptian Licorice tea. I take two pepcid in the late afternoon instead of another Nexium. Soon I'm hoping to stop the Nexium. I will never stop drinking the tea. It makes me feel great and replaced coffee in my life. The tea makes feel like I don't have Gerd! It's made by YOGI. I recommend it!
