You are all right. He is so FIRED. I will not be associated with him any longer, he just wants to deal with the one and done cases. I will be having a long talk with my primary doctor. I will seek out someone who will help me! I like the idea of interviewing a doctor, and making sure they are aware what I would like to acheive. Joy, I think you may be right about
the motility problem. That is what bugs me about
him as well, he knows I have diverticulosis, abdominal adhesions from previous surgeries and that my bowels are already comprimised. That could definitely impact my stomach.
I spoke with a dear close friend, who summed it up beautifully. Whether or not that was his conclusion, it is an urealistic treatment plan. Weight loss is not acheived over night, even in the best of conditions, and does not treat the immediate need. You don't make a patient suffer while you wait for a future state they may be impossible to acheive. He was completely out of line.
One of my other friends has another view. He has that arrogant surgeon attitude, only worse because he probably couldn't make the surgical cut, so he got stuck in a diagnostic specialty.
I am taking deep breaths today, trying to gain back the strength to start all over again. I did find it hard to focus, and have a migrane cooking, that is not responding to anything.
I'm sure I am going to hit the wall soon, as I understandably did not sleep well at all last night. Thank you all for your compassionate caring advice. I feel welcome here.
