Having trouble getting Nexium. My health co. asks for prior authorization every 3 months. Also want me to try other drugs in lieu of nexium which I've already tried without success.

Question? Has anyone had any experience getting nexium, or any other drugs for that matter, via a Canadian pharmacy?

I have not ordered meds from Canada but here are a few facts which you may already know.

1. You need a valid prescription, written by a licensed USA physician, for up to a 90-day supply of each medication with up to three refills.

2. Anyone with a credit card, a phone (or fax) and a valid prescription can order medicaitons from Canada.

3. Upon receipt of your American prescription and information requested, a Canadian Doctor will review your information and issue a prescription that can be filled in Canada.

I did a search and Nexium 40 mg tabs, 30 tabs = $99.86 + $15.00 for shipping. That was only one pharmacy but just to give you an idea on price comparison.

I hope you are able to get the medication you need.

Kindly,

I have to post a warning here just for safety:

The FDA warns that buying drugs from non-US-based websites can be risky since again, these drugs have not met the FDA’s standards for safety and effectiveness.

This is not meant to be a debate in anyway.

I assume you have taken nexium before? Please take care and NEVER take a medication that has not been prescribed to you. All the best

Thank-you so much for your concern . I, unfortunately have been taking Nexium for nine years. Even though I am a nurse, I would never take any med. that was not prescribed. I wish that I didn't need Nexium. I'm hopeful that one day I will not need it. When my Gerd calms down, I plan to try one of the methods I have read about on this forum to discontinue Nexium.

Thanks again.
