Hi i just recently believe i have developed gerd. I have a lump feeling in my throat, trouble swallowing, soar throat in the mornings, excessive salivation and heartburn. Last night was the first night i have felt such pain in my chest from heartburn that it led me to throwing up. Is it possible to suddenly develop gerd? I have enlarged tonsils also and i am getting them removed on june 25th, does anyone think this may be contributing to my problems? When my tonsils get removed will these symptoms go away? Also, how do i treat this lump in my throat as it is very uncomfortable? Thank you.

Some people find out it's not Gerd it's their tonsils causing the problems. Others fine out the Gerd causes the tonsil trouble.

Discuss with your doctor the heartburn and ask for a PPI.
