Several weeks ago I started haveing a lot of chest tightness. After trips to Dr. and many heart test the test all came back fine. I had an endoscopy done two weeks ago and Dr. told me I had esophagitis. I am on a PPI medicine.

Question is for those who have had this how long does it take to heal or anything else to help it heal faster. What type of pains did you have?   My chest hurts everyday for past month. Thanks.

Hello and welcome,

Interventions for esophagitis are intended to lessen symptoms, manage complications and treat underlying causes of the disorder. Treatment strategies vary primarily based on the cause of the disorder.

I am sure you will be hearing from some of our member who have the same dx as you do. Also do read through the threads as there is much good information here in the GERD/Heartburn Forum.

Kindly,

Kitt

Some medicines help and some do not. You need to discuss with your doctor about trying something stronger or different.
