For years, on and off I have had issues with a weak stomach. Nausea to the point that I can't eat and don't even want to. I have been on different medications and now I am back to Zantac because everything else usually just stops working after a while. Now the doc thinks it might be my gallbladder after all but I don't know if I have the typical GB symptoms. No URQ pain, just middle abdominal burning and some reflux and I have had the horrible pain between the shoulder blades at times. If anyone can give me some of their symptoms if they either had gastritis or GB symptoms it would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with the nausea. The dr thought it was because of gerd but none of the meds help and the two surgeries didn't help. I've had my gall bladder checked twice and was normal both times. I have the severe nausea, sometimes to the point where I'm sitting in the bathroom waiting for it to happen, burning stomach, I do get reflux, chest pain. I go back in two days to find out what to do next.

The meds work for about a month and then they don't anymore and it leaves me wondering if it could be something worse. The nausea is the worst. What surgeries did you have? Sometimes I wonder if it could be hormonal but the doctors don't really want to hear it since they really don't know too much about that side of it. Thanks for the response.

I had the nissen done twice. My drs thought it could be hormonal also because it started when I was pregnant but I had them all tested. I'm not sure what else it could be but it's making life really hard when all I want to do is run to the bathroom.

I never heard of the nissen. I was diagnosed with IBS also and was always running to the bathroom or if I went anywhere I had to know where the closest one was at all times. It does make life so hard and hard to enjoy most of the time. We love our good days when we have them.

I had a bad gallbladder and my only sx was gnawing abdominal pain. Had my gallbladder removed and it was full of grit - like fine sand. No stones ! I was better after surgery.

Kindly,

about ten years ago I had a colonoscopy, endoscopy and a cat scan. I was diagnosed IBS because nothing was found. However I am having the same problems as I did then, I have gone to the ER and they said it was gastritis but now my doc thinks it is my GB. Interesting that you say that the gnawing pain was your only symptom because I get that and a bit of burning and nausea big time. I didn't think that these were GB symptoms but I guess they can be. Thanks for the info and the link, it is much appreciated.

Hi I've just had my gallbladder out. I suffered GERD type symptoms on and off for 5 years. I would get burning pain in my chest just under the centre of my ribs right at the beginning of the soft part of my tummy and then that feeling would get worse and worse and seem to rise then I would vomit. It always felt like a heart attack to me because I would only be able to breath in tiny little breaths and my chest would become extremely tight. I tried lots of different reflux medications which all seemed to work for a while and then eventually nothing worked. The climax to my situation was getting pancreatitis caused by a gallballder stone stuck in the common duct between my gallballder and pancreas. I was admitted to hospital for a week where I had an ultrasound scan that showed my gallbladder was full of sand and stones. After the surgery the surgeon said there was quite a lot of sand in there which would definately have been causing my weird symptoms. My gallbladder has been out for less than a week now so far I only experience reflux symptoms if I eat fatty rich foods, painkillers get rid of the pain very quickly.

I have also a gall bladder with some bilious sand,me too, without any stones. For a while I had a med,In don' t Know if my symptoms are caused also by this problem, and not only by GERD or IBS.Tinlou,I think you should control your stomach by an endoscopy and your liver by an echography.
Wish you good luck!Let us Know!
