I have GERD and IBS, however the IBS came long before the GERD.

Some researchers believe IBS can be brought on by stress, and while stress alone won't cause GERD, it can cause people to drink, smoke and eat improperly, all of which can cause acid reflux.

Kindly,

Martina,

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common disorder that affects the large intestine (colon). Irritable bowel syndrome commonly causes cramping, abdominal pain, bloating gas, diarrhea and constipation. Despite these uncomfortable signs and symptoms, IBS doesn't cause permanent damage to your colon.

A diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome depends largely on a complete medical history and physical exam.

Are you able to talk with your physician re your sx. ?

Kindly,

Kitt

I got both..... IBS started early in life. I guess it all has to do with anxiety and stress.... Smoking for 22 years didn't help either.
