AFter having chest pains RIGHT before vacation, I decided to go anyway and, eating a very restricted diet, had absolutely no symptoms at all. The longest I have gone in a while. I basically ate raisin bran, wheat thins, a cliff bar and yogurt and that's it, except for a few saltines in the evening, nothing after about 6:45pm. I had energy to spare and felt great.

Before I left I had been given cardizem (sp?) to relax my esophagus but did not take it, just the prevasid.

now that I am home, no chest pains but esophageal pain again, particularly after eating green beans.

Guess I'll just have to stay on vacation!!

In addition to not eating much, that vacation stress relief couldn't hurt! Glad to hear you had some relief!

you know, I did think that stress really has a lot to do with this, wish I knew how to address it here. Vacation was not stress free but was a wonderful break, and interesting about the restricted food. :)

Glad to hear your vacation went well and it sounds like you had a good break from your everyday routines.</DIV>

I have to commend you on your willpower in dealing with your restricted diet.

Gentle Hugs,
