so this is a bit crazy but has anyone heard of stem cells to reverse acid damage from reflux. i just heard its potentially done in europe, but does not fix underlying problems. just think of the relief though, albeit temporary. been talking to a surgeon who grew a woman a new throat in spain. he thinks fundo may be better but has not ruled it out. anyone have experience in this obviously in usa it cannot happen because of politics

joe1619.....last Sundays 60min on CBS talked about a dr doing surgery at UPMC (pittsburgh pa) on a man that had esophegal cancer.

I dont know if you can access the program still at cbs.com.   I would post the URL but I dont know if I am permitted to do that.

The show was about how they are growing replacement parts for our bodies ears....bladders.....heart valves......and they mentioned surgery done on this man for cancer of the esophegus.    The dr I went to did his surgery.    I dont remember the exact details but they lined his esophegus with material made from pig bladder.     They are doing some wonderful things.
