I am posting this in a few forums because I have had people tell me this could be caused by a number of conditions. I sometimes have this feeling like theres something blocking my airway, sort of like theres something in my throat and Im not getting enough air. Its sometimes accompanied with chest discomfort. I have had a heart monitor, an echo and blood work and my heart is fine. I do have anxiety and allergies. I also have palpitations. Someone told me that this could be caused by GERD(someone else said allergies). I dont get heartburn that often so I didnt think it was GERD. I also noticed that it makes me feel as if i need to burp and when I do it relieves it for a little while. I just want to be well informed when I bring this to my docs attention because he has a tendency to blame everything on my anxiety. Please help. Thanks.
This too shall pass...

Hey welcome to the forum. I'm pretty new too but i used to have this feeling as well kind of like breathlessness but all the doctors say everything is fine.
I'm now assuming it is to do with GERD because i had a nissen fundo 2 months ago and havent had that feeling since. I assume its to do with acid reflux in the eosophagus, which some people have without noticing or feeling any symptoms apparently, hope this helps!

It could be Silent GERD. Ask your doctor for a barium swallow, EGD, and a bravo test.

Problems too numerous to name. :)
