Sorry, I wasn't sure what to put this under.
My primary physician and physical therapist both have stated that they think I have a Vasovagal Nerve Reaction Disorder. My primary physician said that I should see either a Gastroenterologist or a Neurologist for the diagnosis.
I saw one of my Gastroenterologists today and had mentioned the Vasovagal nerve problem. He shook his head and said that he refuses to look into a disorder that is non reversible. He said there is no point in the diagnoses when it can't be cured.
I completely disagree with that. I would like to know for sure, so I know what to expect for my future. I am young, and need to know if my chosen career path is realistic or not, among other things.

I am trying to find a doctor who specialized in this, or at least is willing to diagnose it. I am not necessarily looking for the diagnosis, I just want to be sure that the doctor I am seeing is being fair. If anyone knows of any doctors, please let me know.
If anyone knows of any usefull information on this, it would be helpful too. I haven't had much luck finding anything on the internet to know exactly what the symptoms are or even what to expect or anything.

To this point I have problems with the following...
*paralysis in rt lower extremity (possibly guillan barre)
*neurogenic bladder
*?neurogenic colon?- motility problems. Have bm about every 9+days when induced with magnesium citrate and enema. Take 2 packs of Kristalose twice daily. Did biofeedback for 6 weeks, without success or changes.
*GERD- have regurgitation, nausea and vomitting (usually excessive- sometimes 10*in2 hours, other times 28 in 2 hours) I don't know why this is, but it always occurs around 2 am when I have been asleep for several hours. I now sleep with my bed at a ~75 degree angle.
*Diaphragm spasms- causes sharp stabbing pain (on 0-10 scale, I would say 12)
*Heart palpitations, murmur, regurgitation (regurgitation causes really sharp pain)
*Memory problems- I forget things most people can't forget, like eating, using the restroom. I will forget most everything if I don't have some kind of reminder.
*Tinnitus
*Rt eye bluriness, sometimes blank
*loss of consiousness (7 times in last 2 years- last time was after walking up 1 flight of stairs at the university)

Anything is helpful.
Thanks a lot.

Good Morning,

My daughter has a mild form of this dx.  I would kindly suggest you move on to a Neurologist as I know there are treatments available and the cause of this disorder can be due to many other medical disorders.

I wish you peace.
