so 15 days after fundo im at work today.  i have pain on right side in between 3 incisions, but incisions seem fine.  how do you differentiate normal pain vs. wrap problems.  if it was a wrap issue doesnt that cause pain underneath lest sternum?  anyone know how to differentiate

Wow, Joe...I'm impressed! Working at 15 days post op. Yikes. You've got to be tough. The incisions are where the scopes and tools are inserted. They are moved around a lot, displacing internal tissue. In my case, I was told the left rib area was where the most activity occurred, and that was where I hurt the most for the longest time. I'm sure that varies by surgeon.

What your describing sounds like typical post surgical pain. The little incisions don't look like much, but inside they were stirring you up a lot. That pain will take some time to dissipate.

Hope things are going better for you. If the pain bothers you more, be sure to call your surgeon. My incision areas were painful for several weeks. When your clear your throat it is a slight cough, that moves things and causes the pain to increase. It's definitely very typical post op to have some pain. If your incisions look fine, and you don't have fever or anything, it sounds like just what should be happening this soon after surgery.

Good luck with getting back to work, and don't push yourself too much!
Take care, and let us know how you're progressing.

Hey Joe,

Wondering what type of work do you do,  is it heavy manual type of labor?

Great input from Denise.

dr. made me go back said i did not need more time. i do a combo of maintenance for a non profit and desk work had pain today after sitting for a while its better. but my lpr symptoms have never improved after 2 weeks i am totally freaking, and i already take valium paxil, and seroquel. i overate last night and got bad acid last night/today. i ate mac cheese/broccoli, half cupcake, 1 pop tart 2 pieces licorice and 1 klondike bar. i spaced it like 4 hrs, and my surgeon said it wont stretch the wrap but others have said in past posts it could, i think. so ive panicked all day and my appetite is so strong because of my meds and fundo diet does not help. they told me to eat whatever but im not doing that again. i just hope i didnt blow the wrap. no one will answer my other posts so i think thats because they will say bad news
