Has anyone else had problems with infections in their incision post-op? I'm getting very frustrated. My wrap is still very swollen and then got an infection in one of my incisions. Been to the surgeon a couple times. The infection hasn't gotten worse but hasn't gotten better and I'm a lupus patient too and have had MRSA in the past so he put me on Cleocin. It tore my stomach and digestive system up. Been taking Immodium twice a day which I don't think you are supposed to do and am miserable. Supposed to take these capsules 4x a day and can barely handle 2x a day. It says you can develop a severe intestinal irritation called colitis and this medication is used for severe infections. Day of the concert was so painful. Had to stop 3x on the way to Denver and spent quite a few times in the bathroom which is difficult when you have 70+ people fighting for the bathroom at the same time.
I also took Gas-X which I probably should not have but didn't want to be in pure misery as I had waited months to see this concert.
I'm wondering if I should just call the Dr and ask if something else can be prescribed - this just not working out plus have to drink tons of water plus eat applesauce to get the capsule to go down plus have a constant aftertaste of anti-biotic all day. Help!

Do check with your Dr if your sx are that bad from the Cleocin. I am sorry to read you are having such a rough time.
