hi all,
i am new to this forum, but not the site. i am just here for some advice, as i dont know where else to turn and cant find anything by browsing on google.

for the past 2-3 weeks i have been suffering with terrible indigestion/heartburn when i wake in the morning, i have been to the gp and she put me on some meds, they do take it away after about an hour, but then in the evening it starts all over again and i can only take 1 tablet a day.

i have tried eating and drinking different things, but it doesnt make any difference cry

if anyone can maybe tell me why this might be happening, please let me know.

thanks
Amy x

Hello and welcome to the GERD/Heartburn Forum.  You may want to check out our link from our resouces here in the forum :

It has some good info on answering questions re GERD.  Also you may need a change in your medicaitons or an increase in the frequency but this is something your Dr. should be able to help with.  If you continue to have issues I would suggest you see an GI Physician as you may need further testing.

Kindly,
Kitt

Hi depressedfibroamz,
Welcome to our neighborhood! Glad you stopped by, but sorry to hear you're struggling with your stomach. You're definitely in the right place.
Kitt has great advice, and if you're still feeling uncomfortable, it's time to go back to your doctor. He/she may want to change or increase the strength or frequency of your symptoms. Perhaps that could be done with a phone call.
Good luck finding an answer very soon!
