does anyone know if the les is still working after surgery. i have been told yes and no, personally if the wrap just supports the les then it one would get support from wrap, and get whatever help the les can provide in addition

Hi Joe,
I asked the same question not long ago, and Bill, a longtime and experienced member said that yes, the LES remains as effective as it was pre-surgery (not so effective for many of us) and that the wrap is just the back-up.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!
Take care,
Denise

Hi Joe,
I'm happy to do my best to share my knowledge, experience, and hopefully generally upbeat attitude with others who are struggling through problems just like me.
You aren't alone with your LES problems...that's for sure!
Hang in there,
Denise

Hi Joe, I am glad Denise was able to answer you question and that Bill has contributed so much to the forums also.

I have not had the surgery so I am your cheering squad as well as a member with a long history of GERD but well controlled with medications.

I doe have a fair amount of first hand knowledge re Anxiety and Depression so I am always here to help in whatever way I can.

Kindly,
