What can I take to get rid of acidic taste in my mouth in a hurry?

I have acidic taste in my mouth and think its from reflux.  What can I take to get rid of it?

That's the main reason I chew gum. Can't stand the taste. I know it's on the "no no" list but it helps me dramatically.

I didn't know chewing gum was on the no no list...I've heard that it can be good to aid digestion because it helps the build up of salivia which can also help neutralise the stomach acid.

I'm having a bad acid spell at the moment. I just try drinking plenty of water, and chewing gum, and just eat alkaline type foods for a while. It probably helps to have something on your stomach. Even if you feel really sick from the acid, having an empty stomach doesn't really help at all.

Try to drink loads of water too. Gum is great for me, but it does make me swallow air which causes burps

i wash my mouth with water and baking soda that takes care of it for a while i also chew gum (i have LPR)
