did anyone else have a low motility pressure throughout the esophagus upon doing a motility test? If so, what was the final diagnosis?

I have heartburn but had the PH test come back as normal, and the motility test came back as low pressure throughout the esophagus. It has me afraid of some very scary motility issues...I am doing follow up tests (Barium, blood tests), but it would be great to hear if this happened to anyone else...

I have low motility, not sure if it is through out the esophagus, I don't have any problems swallowing drink or food. I too had a normal PH test but I have Barrets, which means I have GERD. My gastro has recommended I have a 270' wrap. What do I know....I have been having treatments for the Barrets, which I have one more EGD then on to the Nissen surgery, I wonder if the Barrets had anything to do with the motility? If I wasn't wanting to get rid of the pain and all the other wonderful stuff that goes along with this, I would have another motility test just to see if getting rid of the Barrets has done any thing to improve my motility.

I have been going to the Mayo in Scottsdale AZ for all of my doctor visits. It has been a year this month since I have been going there. It will be 2 years in July since all this has started. I am hoping this July I have had the Nissen and am on the road to recovery. Good luck ya!
