Hello all,

For close to three years I have suffered with clear chronic throat mucus. I am constantly spitting into a tissue throughout the day. I have been to several ENTs and two gastro doctors. I have had three PH 24 probes done by an ENT and a gastro doctor. The ENT called me the "Queen of Acid Reflux" while the gastro doctor felt the reflux was mild. I have never suffered any of the classic reflux symptoms, no heartburn, coughing regurgitation, just this terrible clear thick throat mucus which is present 24 hours a day. Would the TIF procedure help. By the way, I live in the New York City area

Thank you

Good Morning Rose,
Many factors may cause increased production of thin secretions. These include: infections with respiratory viruses, such as colds and flu; allergies; exposure to the cold; spicy food and medication.  The treatment depends on the cause and I am thinking perhaps you need to see a third physician as the first 2 disagree on a dx for you.
I do not know if a TIF would be helpful for you.  Wish I had better advice for you.
