I seen the new dr yesterday. He said do not go to Milwaukee because the guy I was going to see is another surgeon and the last thing I need is another nissen. He thinks the 22 years of taking laxatives has slowed my whole digestive tract down so everything backs up. I asked him why my gastric emptying test would be normal then and he said it's probably because it was just eggs and I haven't eaten in so long that it digested normally. I'm getting an ekg today before I try Motilium which will hopefully help. The Reglan makes me insanely tired. I really hope this works or at least helps a little since it's been over a week since I last ate anything besides a few crackers. I'm not sure if this is fully believable because I was fine after I had my colostomy in 2004 until I got pregnant in 2008. He said to also try some fiber to help speed me up but I'm sure that will just bloat me but I'm willing to try anything at this point.

Hi Michelle,
It seems as if your doctor's advice is very reasonable. Having had 3 Nissens in a year, before jumping into another one, checking out other possible options makes all kinds of sense.

Try to be patient, and give the medications a chance. You didn't get this way in a week, and it'll take more than a week to get things straightened around.

Let's hope that your new doc is absolutely right, and things get better for you very soon! We're all rooting for you! yeah yeah yeah yeah

Take care, and Very Best Wishes!
Denise
