heading back to work, suggestions?

Well my 6 weeks off have come to an end. I will be heading back to my kindergarten class tomorrow. I went in for a couple of hours last week. I pulled each student and gave them some 1 to 1 time with me. While we chatted I also did some testing, as I had report cards to do. I got very shaky a couple of times, probably needed to eat something. Mashed potatoes are about the thickest thing I can eat. My Dr. called last night and suggested using oat bran instead of oatmeal for breakfast,as it has more fiber and nutrients. Thought I'd puree some peaches and pears for a snack. 5 hours between breakfast and lunch will be too long. Anybody have other suggestions to get through morning?

Hi Peggy, good luck with going back to work, I too am going back on Wednesday after taking over 7 weeks off (I'm a secondary teacher). Can you eat crackers? This is what I'm going to eat at school and soup, then have main meal at home.

What I did was keep a protein drink on hand. When I felt shaky or hungry I'd drink one. At six weeks I began to eat vienna sausages and crackers at lunch.

crackers seem to get stuck. Am planning on soup for lunch. Maybe I can con someone into heating some up for me mid morning. A protein drink sounds doable as well. Thanks, Peggy
