Last night I was eating some chicken ball as a snack, and I choked on a piece and I couldn't breath for a good 5 seconds and it eventually went down in my throat. Later on it felt like it was stuck in the middle of my throat, and I eventually got the pain to stop for the night. Today I feel like there's a lump whenever I swallow, like there's something in there but I don't know what, I went to my family physician and they told me not to worry much about it, but I'm scared that I might choke and die :\.

You might have "scratched" the esophagus during the choking event.  If you are anxious about the pain, eat soft foods for a while until you feel better.

Good Morning,
I went through a spell like this about 6 years ago.  Every time I ate meat I would choke on it.  Going out to eat became a challenge as I had to chew and chew meat which meant everyone was through eating long before me.  Whenever I choked I would have a coughing spell and people would ask if I was OK ? I left many meals unfinished as my comment was I am full.  Eventually it stopped on it's own and occasionally I will have a spell but I have learned to order pasta when going to a restaurant.
Check with your PCP physician if this choking continues.
You may be referred to a GI physician.
