Hi i have been on Omeprazole for about 3 week's or so now and i don't know if it's this giving me these symptom's which are Dizzyness,Light headed and Fatigued.

I will stop taking them if this is part of the side effect's as it feel's like i am going to pass out which is not good.

Hi Trev,
It does sound like side-effects from the meds. I have tried ALL the PPI's available over here,& got the same sorts of side-effects from every one of them. I couldn't stay awake, felt spaced all the time, really bad nausea, no appetite & awful anxiety.
I manage (badly) on Ranitidine (Zantac) AntAcids & Gaviscon Advance.
Hoping the LINX will put an end to all this!!

Hope you can find something that helps.
Good Luck
Jan

Hi Trev,
I used Omeprazole for several years with no side effects. My husband, who is often susceptible to drug side effects is taking it now without any problem.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a problem. Hope you figure it out soon.
Best wishes,
Denise

Hi, oh yes, sounds familiar! All the ppis give me low blood pressure which causes dizziness. They also make me feel tired, cold through to the bone (poor circulation) and permanently hungry. I have tried omeprazole, nexium, pantoprazole and lansoprazole. I have very recently tried a lower dose of lansoprazole but still got side effects. My worst side effect is photosensitivity and very bad skin rash that just gets worse and worse. Shame, as they do help my GERD, but the skin reaction is just awful. Docs have been useless; they just seem to expect me to live with the GERD or the skin condition that comes with treating the GERD! Neither seems compatible with a normal life!!

I too am managing (badly as you say) on ranitidine and a "no fun" diet. I really really tried to keep going with the lansoprazole this time but I was scratching and itching like crazy and my skin was so sore I couldn't even tolerate going in the shower! Back to square 1 again!
New stuff: GERD. Interstitial Cystitis
Lifelong stuff: Food allergies, eczema, asthma
