Hi Jodibee,

Welcome to yeah yeah yeahThe Wrapped Club! yeah yeah yeah Glad you're on the other side and working on healing. I agree that the surgery/recovery wasn't nearly as bad as I'd expected.

No steak for a while! Stick with whatever diet your surgeon gave you. Just eat small amounts throughout the day.

Again, congratulations!

Welcome fellow wrapper!
Be sure to take it easy and take your meds. Keep to your diet. Are you on the strict liquids or allowed soft foods yet?

Good to hear it went well! You'll feel quite weak when you try and sit up or go for a walk as everything is a bit raw but I'm sure you've got some pain meds to sort that out. I found it quite funny trying to wrestle my way off a couch in that first week plus I had a mate who kept making me laugh which rendered me completely useless. You'll be amazed how different you feel every day. Take it easy, stick to soups, fruit juices and jello and you'll be on the mush then solids in no time.
In a few weeks you'll get to eat something you really love and it'll taste all the better after the long wait. Just remember to slow right down, chew everything ridiculously well and keep the portion sizes small. The worst problem I have after 15 weeks is not being able to burp as well as I could before and a bit of extra gas, but compared to reflux it's a doddle.

Good luck!
