Has anyone out there had a motility and ph test done. I tried to have them done today, and had to get them to remove the tube as i was having trouble breathing, gagging, and vomiting.  What can i do now that i cant do this test. confused confused confused confused confused confused

Perhaps the Bravo pH probe may be more comfortable than the standard test, because it eliminates the need for a tube in your nose. In the Bravo test, the probe is attached to the lower portion of your esophagus during endoscopy.
You may want to discuss this with your GI physician.  I wish you the best.

The manometry test is rough. I felt gaggy all through it.

I had that test and another with a tube down my nose that I wore home for 24 hours. They weren't comfortable but were a walk in the park compared to the pain I have with the hiatal hernia and open lower esophageal sphincter, gastritis, frequent esophageal strictures and esophagitis.

The person who administered the manometry test (the one you had I believe) told me that the people who manage to get through the test were almost always very highly motivated due to long-term pain and reflux.

That was true in my case but not in everyone I'm quite sure.
