Has anyone had a partial fundoplication and started refluxing many years later? I had surgery 7 years ago and for most part been well - apart from the occasional bouts of indigestion with a little acid reflux (controlled by zantac). But 7 wks ago and from nowhere I started severly refluxing at night time. The GI doc has kept me on zantac and also put me on nexuim 40mg twice daily which don't even touch it. The PPIs give me gas bloat and terrible wind which seems to force everything up even more.

I am confused and upset and feel like life is not worth living. Does anyone know of a good surgeon in England that does redos? I can't spend the rest of my life suffering like this, esp as the meds don't seem to touch the sides and make me feel even more ill.

Help and advice would be really appreciated.

Sorry it's back. I'm in USA so I can't help you with a surgeon. Maybe someone else can?
