I woke this morning with a lump in the left side of my throat. I have a deviated septum on the right so everything goes to the left side. The lump and throat are burning like mad!
My anxiety was off the wall! I gargled with Colgate Perxoyl (sp?) and took a amitriptyline (Xanax) pill.
I called my GI doc and wanted to know if I should go to an ENT and his nurse told me to come in so he could check me. I have a 12:30 appt today.
I trust him completely as he's very caring and wants to make you well. He's been a GI doc for 35 years so I'm sure he's seen a lot of GERD folks.
Do GI doc do nasal/throat scopes? Are they able to tell if it's the acid causing and actually see the throat/esophagus? I think I'll have to go in to the hospital and have a complete scope done.
Thank you for ready and I hope you will reply.
